Lessons Learned From The Unstoppable American

I had the amazing opportunity to meet Glenn W. Turner aka The Unstoppable American recently at The Wealth Building Annex and I tell yea, he is an amazing individual we can all learn something from! He has done more for others throughout his life without asking for anything in return than anyone I know…And believe me, I know some pretty amazing individuals.

He was the featured monthly speaker at the Annex and I knew from past experience I was in for a heck of a ride. I made sure to take good notes so I can report back to you the wisdom of Glenn W. Turner. If you don’t know who Glenn is, just Google him BUT before you do that, keep on reading.

Here are the nuggets I picked up from Glenn:

  • Always be super nice and polite to people and they will love you in return
  • Believe in others more than they are willing to believe in themselves
  • Every idea starts off as a perceived lie. People don’t want to believe in your possibilities because they are involuntarily programed with thoughts of dis empowerment for decades. (I always like to say we have more unlearning to do than learning…. think about that one for a second)
  • Always keep it simple. Over analyzing just stalls action and allows for a nice justification of you self-procrastination
  • If you look up “Con” in the dictionary, you will find that it is simply an “opposing idea”, not a “wrong opposing idea”… So go ahead and “Con” someone next time to believe in themselves! and lets all stop giving the term “Conman” a bad rap! Decide for yourself on a case by case basis if the person is a “Conman” or maybe he is the one REALLY telling the truth…
  • If you teach yourself to be more patient in life, you will have a smoother sail
  • Hire people who are smarter than you and then have do the smart work
  • You can do anything in life if you can just make yourself believe that you can do it
  • You are the most important person in your life. When you take care of yourself first, you are better able to take care of those who depend upon you (That’s why when traveling on an airline they tell you in case of an emergency, put your Oxygen mask on first before you worry about others)
  • Enjoy your life to the fullest each day everywhere you go
  • Treat you woman with so much respect and “uniquely” that she won’t want to go anywhere else
  • It’s OK to be too dumb to figure out something really complex. Usually it works to your advantage just to have a good understanding and let the experts deal with the ins and outs

    • And the most important of all, I asked Glenn “What is your inspiration for wanting to do so much for others not expecting anything in return”

    His reply, as he pointed up to the ceiling “God… I do it all for God because he is the only and the ultimate provider of all things”

    How Google Revolutionized The Internet

    Back in the days I just went to Yahoo.com and searched for whatever I was looking for.

    And then I met Google.

    Ever since then, I have been hooked. Google has truly been an amazing lens into the internet allowing me to instantly focus on whatever it is that I am looking for.

    Google simply revolutionized the Internet forever!

    Besides the fact that everyone just says “Google It” when they don’t know the answer for a question asked, the word Google has been officially added to the Dictionary…like you didn’t already know that.

    So how is Google so successful?

    The answer is easy: Simplicity.

    Google simplified the search to a single logo, search box, and two buttons. When I went to Yahoo.com for searching, I saw all kinds of other things. And that is just the front end…on the back end Google does some extreme Ninja stunts that only Larry and Sergey are capable of pulling off in the entire world. Google’s back-end technology was and still is the best.

    Simply put, Google revolutionized the Internet for ever by allowing the average person like you and I to instantly find out what they are looking for…and that is just 1/1000000000th of what Google does. Images, Maps, Videos, Documents, Calendar, News, Shopping, Gmail, Books, Finance, Translate, need I say more.

    Thank you God for giving us Google, what a blessing!
